rPET – natural food-grade regranulate from beverage bottles
TEXPET R760 clear is produced from PET bottles from the drinks industry. The bottles are collected as part of the deposit-return scheme in Germany. After the flakes have been hot-washed and subsequently sorted, they are regranulated. The pellets, with an IV of 0.8±0.02 and a residual moisture content of no more than 0.4 per cent, meet the strict requirements for direct food contact (EFSA-compliant) and can be processed into new beverage bottles using the ‘bottle-to-bottle’ process. Due to its high quality, the granulate can also be used in the production of cosmetics packaging and A-PET films.
Processing procedure and technical specifications
Texpet R 760 is a recycled material produced from post-consumer single-use PET bottles from the drinks industry.

In our processing procedure, the various PET bottles are first sorted and foreign and contaminating materials are removed. The sorted PET bottles are then crushed into flakes and processed into clean flakes via a hot wash followed by drying. In our extrusion plants, the flakes are finally regranulated into pellets and can be reprocessed into new beverage bottles in accordance with legal requirements. Other areas of application include the cosmetics, film, fibre/textile and packaging tape industries.
