PO – Assorted coloured bottle caps (ground material)
This product is a by-product of the recycling of PET drinks bottles. It consists of shredded material from the bottle caps. The recycling process involves sorting and shredding the bottles, including their caps. Subsequent separation of the PET and PE/PP plastics then yields a clean, single-grade, coloured PO flake with a particle size of >10 mm, a bulk density of 300 kg/m³ and a residual moisture content of ≤ 1.2. The ratio of PE to PP is approximately 95:5.

In our processing procedure, the PET bottles are first sorted and foreign and contaminating materials are removed. The PET bottles, including their caps, are then shredded into flakes. The different types of plastic are then separated using a wet sorting process, producing a single-grade, multi-coloured PO flake. Applications include new bottle caps and a wide range of industrial sectors, such as pipe production
