TEXPET DS is produced from PET grades sourced from household waste collection (the ‘yellow bag’), which are collected, sorted and supplied by the dual systems in Germany.After the flakes have been hot-washed and subsequently sorted, the clear flakes are regranulated. Post-consumer recycled PET (PCR) from the Yellow Bag is an environmentally friendly raw material. With an IV of >= 0.76 +/-3 and a residual moisture content of <=0.4 %, the product is suitable for use in non-food bottles and packaging.
Processing procedure and technical specifications
TEXPET DS is a recycled material produced from post-consumer single-use PET bottles collected from household waste (yellow bin, etc.).

In our processing operation, the pre-sorted PET bottles from household collection are first sorted and any foreign and contaminating materials are removed. The sorted PET bottles are then crushed into flakes and processed into clean, clear flakes via a hot wash followed by drying. Finally, in our extrusion plants, the flakes are regranulated into pellets and can be reprocessed into new PET bottles in accordance with legal requirements, for example for detergents, cleaning agents and household cleaning products (WPR). Other areas of application include the film, fibre/textile and packaging tape industries.
