PET – DS clear regranulate, non-food grade. Source: PET bottles from household collection (‘yellow bag’)
PET CL 80 DS clear is produced from PET grades sourced from household waste collection (‘yellow bag’), which are collected, sorted and supplied by the Dual Systems in Germany.Following a hot wash of the flakes and subsequent sorting, the clear flakes are regranulated. A post-consumer PET recyclate (PCR) from the Yellow Bag is an environmentally friendly raw material. With an IV of >= 0.76 +/-3 and a residual moisture content of <=0.4 %, the product is suitable for use in non-food bottles and packaging.

In our processing operation, the pre-sorted PET bottles from household collection are first sorted, and foreign and contaminating materials are removed. The sorted PET bottles are then crushed into flakes and processed into clean, clear flakes via a hot wash followed by drying. In our extrusion plants, the flakes are finally regranulated into pellets and can be reprocessed, in accordance with legal requirements, into new PET bottles for use in, for example, detergents, cleaning agents and household cleaning products (WPR). Other areas of application include the film, fibre/textile and packaging tape industries.
